As podcasting continues to quickly grow, companies must come up with interesting content and useful ways to deliver it to the consumer. Denise Howell interviews John Furrier, CEO of PodTech.net, who discusses some of the issues the company is wrestling with to give users what they want and also give producers the ability to profit from their work.

He first gives a brief background of PodTech.net, particularly how he got into the video side of podcasting. He believes that users in the end care more about quality of content than where it originates. Furrier also discusses such issues as intellectual property rights, how the financial picture will develop, including how to best educate advertisers. He also reviews the current controversy about net neutrality and the problems of bandwidth in a new system where uploading has become just as important as downloading.

John Furrier is CEO of PodTech.Net and an entrepreneur living and working in Palo Alto, California. Over the past eight years he's been working on the convergence of search, broadband, and emarketing to build new ventures. Furrier currently works full time in the area of blogs and podcasting media. As an entrepreneur he's been involved in Internet infrastructure, search, and broadband wireless ventures. Furrier started out in big corporate America, joining IBM right out of college and then 9 years at Hewlett-Packard in various technical, marketing, and sales roles.
