"We don't do piracy," claims Michael Weiss, CEO of StreamCast, the parent company of file-sharing network, Morpheus. Of course, any new technology involving the entertainment industry and piracy always results to law-suits, court-orders, and what all. It's happened in the past, and now it's happening again. The entertainment industry is losing revenues due to file-sharing/P2P networks, and who are they blaming? The file-sharing networks themselves.

Michael Weiss doesn't believe Morpheus or any other file-sharing network for that matter is a pirate company. He's not against the entertainment industry, not that he wants to, in fact, Weiss is looking for business relationships with them rather than law-suits. In this interesting installment of Larry's World, host Larry Magid talks to Michael Weiss, CEO of StreamCast networks, parent company of Morpheus, about file-sharing, piracy, the entertainment industry and the distribution mechanism of P2P.
