As the CEO and Chairman of the Fritz Companies, Lynn Fritz has been a successful entrepreneur in the field of global logistics. When he sold his company to UPS he decided to explore new applications for the knowledge of logistics to help the human society at large and founded Fritz Institute. After conducting extensive research and exploring the mechanisms of disaster response, he envisions collaboration between corporations and humanitarian relief agencies as the number one driver to enhance humanitarian relief efforts. In this keynote address given at Stanford during the Effective Disruption Management Seminar, he stresses the importance of local capacity building and emergency preparedness.
